Dr. Margaret Forsberg

D.V.M, Owner

Dr. Forsberg graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 with Dr. Bowman. After graduation, Drs. Forsberg and Bowman practiced small and large animal medicine in Wisconsin for three years before moving to Grants Pass. In 2003, with a three-year-old and one-year old daughter on board, Drs. Bowman and Forsberg opened Valley Animal Hospital. In total, Dr. Forsberg has been practicing small animal medicine and surgery for 29 years.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, now 24 and 21, hiking, reading, and traveling.

 
 
 

Dr. Glenn Bowman

D.V.M, Owner

Dr. Bowman has been practicing mixed animal medicine for 29 years. In his free time, he enjoys trail-running, training his puppy Poppyseed, fishing, and mountain climbing. The Vets’ pets include Poppyseed, a Springer Spaniel, and Charlie and Ziggy, their two pampered kitties.

Dr. Astrid Pulley

D.V.M

Dr. Pulley received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of California, Davis. After graduating, Dr. Pulley worked exclusively with wild/exotic animals for 15 years before transitioning to small animal medicine. Dr. Pulley has worked at VAH since 2016. In her free time, she enjoys figure skating with her daughter and taking care of her donkey, rabbit, and three dogs.

 
 

Dr. Kayla Contreras

D.V.M

Dr. Contreras graduated from Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. After graduation, she chose to pursue a rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at WestVet Emergency and Specialty Center in Garden City, Idaho. Dr. Contreras is originally from Grants Pass and is excited to be back. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball with her husband and hanging out with her two dogs, Rambo and Ollie.

Heather

Jamie

Jamie has worked at VAH for 3 years and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She obtained her certification from Penn Foster College. She has a Bachelors of Science in Geography and Photography from the University of Jacksonville in Florida. Jamie’s hobbies include camping, hiking, working out, and playing with her dog.

Jay

Jay has been a Veterinary Technician Assistant for 6 years at VAH. She graduated from the National College of Rapid City in South Dakota. Jay enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and dogs, horseback riding, and horse camping in her free time.

 

Jazzy

Jazzy has been a Veterinary Technician at VAH since August, 2022. She is known as the fun, loving “Auntie Jazzy” to all the patients. She is a mother to a teenage boy, a fabulous rescue dog named Sissy, and a wild kitten named Gato. Jazzy enjoys spending time with friends and family when she’s not with her VAH family.

Patti

Patti has been a receptionist at VAH for 18 years. She loves fishing, yard work, and her pets.

Jessie 

Jessie has worked at VAH for 9 years as a receptionist and Veterinary Assistant and loves everything about it. In her spare time, Jessie enjoys spending quality time with family and being outdoors in the sun! 

Caitlyn

Caitlyn started with VAH in 2021 and is being cross-trained to work as a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. She enjoys spending time with her fiance and their pets Karen and Titus. She loves to bake for family and friends as well as taking hikes out in the sunshine.

Krystal 

Krystal has worked at VAH for 19 years as a CVT with a special interest in feline medicine and pain management. In her free time, she enjoys camping with her two dogs and advocating and promoting mountain lion conservation.

Jessica

Jessica has been a veterinary assistant with VAH since 2021. She has three cats that fill her life with laughter and mischief - Ghost, Spooky, and Grimm. She enjoys filling her time off with adventures, fun times, and music.
